Frank Kral was struck by a passing freight train last Thursday night about 7 oclock, just south of the city, and injured so badly that he died during the night. Kral had been drinking during the day and was supposed to be walking on the track at the time. He has no known relatives in this country and no permanent home. With Roeder service officiating, the remains were conveyed to the Shiner Catholic Church where Requiem High Mass was held at 9 0. Rosary was recited at the Janik home Thursday at 7 3. She was married to Vaclav Jim Kral, a native of Czechoslovakia, about 4. The ceremony was read in the Shiner Catholic Church. They made their home on a farm in the Boundary Line community, where she continued to reside until she became ill. Mr. Kral came to America at the age of 1. He passed away March 1. Mrs. Kral passed away on the seventh anniversary of the interment of her husband. Others preceding her to the grave were her parents, John and Annie Lauer Valis, and a sister, Mrs. Tom Husinecky. Survivors include a son, Ernest Kral, Shiner four daughters, Mrs. Anton Mary Janik, Mrs. F. A. Lillie Dolezal, Shiner Mrs. Willie J. Annie Kutac, Sweet Home Mrs. Walter Emelie Kowalik, Panna Maria 2. John Valis Sr. and Joe Valis Sr., Shiner. Mrs. Kral was a devoted and loyal member of the Catholic church and an honorary member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Society of the K. J. Z. T. Lodge. Members attended the last rites in a body. Death brought release to the suffering of Mrs. Kral, who had been ill a long while. Her malady baffled medical skill and professional nursing. Her serious illness extended over a period of seven months. Two months was spent in the local hospital and the last five months she was confined at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anton Janik. She had many good characteristics and made many personal sacrifices to be a devout christian sic, a dependable friend and a kind, obliging neighbor. We extend sympathy to all in their bereavement. Gently and peacefully, after a useful life spent in service to his God, his family and his fellowmen, Jim Kral, aged 6. Boundary Line community closed his eyes in everlasting sleep, Monday at 3 1. Master whom he had served so well while on earth. Death occurred at the Wagner Hospital, where he had been taken for treatment Saturday evening, after an illness of few days. The attendance at the funeral was very large, attesting to the esteem in which the deceased was held in this community. Casket bearers were Laddie Baros, Joe Patek, Jerome Patek, Geo. J. Valis, John W. Valis, Joe Valis Jr. Jim Kral was born in Czechoslovakia and came to America at the age of nineteen. His sister Katie, now Mrs. Frank Baros, accompanied him. He first made his home with the family of his aunt, the Patek family, then began working for the railroad, with which he remained for a long time. In 1. 90. 5 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Valis, and they established their home near the Boundary Line School, where with his family he enjoyed the evening of his life. Five children, with their mother are left to mourn his passing, they are Ernest Kral Mrs. Anton Mary Janik Mrs. Frank A. Lillie Dolezal Mrs. Wm. Annie Kutac all of this community and Mrs. W. A. Emily Kowalik of Panna Maria. Other survivors are fourteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Frank Katie Baros of Shiner. His mother and one sister in Europe were not heard of from for some time. Mr. Kral was a man of excellent habits and fine character. His was the soul of honor and his friends and friendships were sacred to him. Today we miss his kindly smile and friendly greeting. He was a devoted husband and kind father, and to his friends the soul of fellowship. He as never too tired to minister to his loved ones or to lend a helping hand to his fellowmen, believing that the man who scatters flowers in the pathway of others, who lets into the dark places of life, the sunshine of human sympathy and happiness, is filling the purpose of life. He was always interested in the welfare of his community. He was a highly valued member of the KJT Society, for many years a trustee of the Kopecky Boundary Line district and also a director of the Shiner Farmers Gin.
